“WOA is built from fragments—myths remembered, dreams inherited, echoes from ancient worlds.

As a distant descendant of mountain tribes in the Visayan region of the Philippines, I carry both the weight of forgotten histories and the responsibility of shaping new ones. The “tribes” of WOA are not recreations, but invocations—fictional, symbolic, and bound to no single culture.

Since the start in 2013, this art project was envisioned and created by Marc Haers. Each story serves as an outlet for regression, post traumatic growth and an attempt to ‘free himself’ through art.

Using his skillset in photography, videography and 3D art he intends to fuse art, history, fashion, storytelling, collaboration and humanity. He aims to infuse the fantastical imagery with stories of his own life and of the people involved. He is able to realise this by bringing together talented creatives of many disciplines that include fashion designers, styling, hair & make-up artists and many more.
